Insights and Inspiration from Empine

We've revisited our values and made them clearer.

We've spent a lot of this year working out what Empine actually stands for. Not the version that sounds good on a slide, but the version that's true on a Tuesday afternoon when a job's gone wrong, and someone needs to sort it.

Four things kept coming up. So we've made them official. These are our values now, and they're the standard we're holding ourselves to.

Straight talk

Plain-English communication, honest expectations, no hiding behind jargon or process.

Clients should always know where they stand with us. That means telling you the truth even when it's not the easy answer, being upfront about timelines and costs, and never dressing up a problem in language designed to soften it. We say what we mean and mean what we say.

Make it work

Ownership, problem solving and reliable delivery.

We're not excuse makers. When something gets complicated (and in print and logistics, something always eventually does), we take responsibility and find the way through rather than pointing at a supplier or a system. Reliable delivery isn't the exception here. It's the standard we measure ourselves against.

Make an impact

Every piece of print and physical material should earn its place.

Whether it's a set of event banners or a multi-site ordering portal, what we produce should create clarity, consistency and real confidence for the people relying on it. If it doesn't do that, we haven't done our job properly, no matter how the invoice looks.

Genuine care

People over profit.

We build relationships before we build revenue. That means doing right by clients and by our own team, even when a short-term commercial win might say otherwise. Responsiveness, attention to detail and the belief that clients should feel looked after, not handled, all sit under this one.

Why this matters now

We're growing, and growth is exactly the point where values either get lost or get proven. As the group gets bigger, we want these four things to travel with us into every new hire, every new client relationship and every new site we work with, so that the experience of working with Empine stays consistent no matter how much the business scales around it.

If you're working with us, this is what you should expect.
